Membership Coordinator
ShiningEyes Archer is of mixed descent of the Heinz 57 variety. She became involved with the RenScots, a Scottish Historical Reenactment Group, in 2017 when her son, Harlan, expressed an interest in joining as a way of exploring his Scottish heritage (Frazier and McDonald). Inspired by her son, she delved into her ancestry and discovered her maternal Grandfather’s family, Green hailed from an Irish area of Wales and both her grandmother’s and paternal grandfather’s, while not directly Scottish or Irish, descend from Gaelic areas of Europe.
She was adopted as a member of the Donnachaidh Clan in 2025 and to prove herself a worthy stepchild, stepped up as membership coordinator 🙂
ShiningEyes is an adopted member of the Southern Cherokee Nation and participates in Lakota-style ceremonies in the Summer. Being the crafty lady that she is, she makes candles for the RenScots and makes Native American-style beadwork jewelry. She has taught special education for 30 years and is currently in her first year teaching high school math.
She has 2 amazing children: Harlan Tonuke Archer (23), head blacksmith with the RenScots and now studying to be a Forest Ranger at Pikes Peak State College after serving four years with the army Corps of Engineers. And Raven Weakley (38) a realtor in Bluffton South Carolina.
Her wonderful, Husband, Darren and pups Loki and Boots support her in her efforts to work and play hard every day.

Patrick McConnaughay
Web Master
‘Pat’ and his wife Judy have been married for over 30 years and have been active members of both Clan Donnachaidh of Southern California, and now the Rocky Mountain branch.
Pat was raised in the small town of Carlsbad, California just about 100 yards from the beach. He lived in Southern California for the better part of 70 years. After graduating from San Diego State University, he held several jobs including a restaurant manager, loan officer for a mortgage company and a driving instructor. He also spent 14 years hauling sand to places like Las Vegas in an 18 wheeler before becoming a hospital phlebotomist. After he retired from the hospital, he drove a bus for an assisted living facility and spent 8 years as a volunteer sheriff with the San Diego County Sheriff Dept. He eventually moved to Colorado because he got tired of Southern California weather or lack thereof. At some point he learned the basics of website design and now is the webmaster for a couple charitable organizations including Clan Donnachaidh Society of the Rocky Mountains.

Nancy Bigley
Past President
I joined Clan Donnachaidh in 1999 and gradually joined the council, served as Secretary and later President. My Scottish Irish English ancestry is with Reed side of my family, with a German Dutch ancestry from the Bigley side. I plan to continue being involved with Clan Donnachaidh and the Celtic community on the Western Slope and Utah. I moved to Fruita, CO in March of 2024. I am a volunteer at Harmony Acres Equestrian Centre which serves the community with various animal assisted therapies for children, adolescents, and veterans. I am fulfilling a life-long dream of being around and caring for horses and living in a small town in Colorado.
